Prof. Mark Parsons
Professor Parsons also holds prestigious academic appointments worldwide and is a pioneer in imaging-guided stroke care. His translational research, entrepreneurial leadership, and digital innovation projects have significantly improved stroke systems and rural healthcare access globally.
Global Recognition in Research & Mentorship

Professor Parsons holds an H-index of 101 with over 23,000 citations and 500+ peer-reviewed publications in top journals like NEJM and Lancet Neurology. He has delivered 200+ invited lectures, chaired 50+ global conferences, and mentored 19 PhD students and 12 postdoctoral researchers—many now leading research worldwide.

Pioneering Clinical Trials in Stroke Care

His groundbreaking leadership in trials such as EXTEND-IA, TASTE, ENCHANTED, and ETERNAL has reshaped international stroke guidelines, including the adoption of tenecteplase and thrombectomy. Phase III NHMRC-funded trials like TASTE and ETERNAL spanned 50+ centres globally.

Global Partnerships & Visionary Leadership

Founder of GCI, Professor Parsons unites science, technology, and industry to accelerate stroke therapies. He works closely with the Shequal Foundation, co chaired the 2023 women in AI & medicine workshop in Kathmandu. Helped establish STEM scholarship to promote women and AI hackathon at LPU India.

Chief Executive Officer

As the Chief Executive Officer of GCI, Dr Longting Lin is driven by a commitment to accelerating the development of life-changing therapies. With a career spanning over 15 years in the life sciences field, she provides the strategic vision and leadership that ensures GCI delivers unparalleled quality, innovation, and partnership to our clients worldwide.
Under Dr Longting Lin’s guidance, GCI has cultivated a culture of collaboration, scientific rigor, and transparency. She is a passionate advocate for integrating digital health technologies to make clinical trials more accessible for patients. Outside of work, Dr Longting Lin is dedicated to mentoring young scientists and supporting local patient advocacy groups. She holds a PhD from University of Newcastle, Australia and serves on the board of the International Stroke Perfusion Imaging Registry
